Professional Qualifications
1979 – 1982 Bachelor of Arts (BA) in English Literature. Nottingham University. 2:1
1984 Certificate of Qualification in Social Work
1984 to 2024 worked as a probation Officer.
1998 – 2000 I worked in Family Court Welfare, in my role as Probation Officer, assessing the needs and wishes of children and presenting evidence and reports for courts. This role involved training in mediation and counselling for parents going through divorce.
2014 – present day – working as counsellor providing support with addictions, depression, anxiety , trauma, low-self-esteem, psychosexual issues
In 2016 Specialist training to run Accredited programmes for sexual offenders. I worked in this field for 8 years.
January 2021 Accredited Professional Life Coach Certification and Guide.
January 2023 Diploma in Psychosexual Therapy. Distinction
February 2021 COFRA 121 with STOPSO. Compassion Focussed Risk Aware: one to one programme for Managing Sexual Risk.
